I am having problems with getting CAMLINK to upload and download programs to a Mazak QT20 with T PLUS control. CAMLINK is from Griffo Brothers and I can get it to download to a laptop but that's as far as I can get. Any info will be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Steve

Mazaks have many settings that need to be set for input and output; also you need to confirm the wiring, null modem usually does it. Need more help, give me a call.... Greg Mercurio Shop Floor Automations.com www.shopfloorautomations.com

Hey Steve im having the opposite problem you are. How did you get your camlink files to download to a laptop? Im trying to get all my mazatrol programs sent to my laptop so i can take it on the road with me while setting up new machines. Camlink is telling me there is no way to send from camlink to my laptop without buying another key.

I am having a similar problem with a T+ control on an Integrex 35Y. I can save a program from the machine to CAM-Link, but when I try to load a program I get a CMT miss-connect error on the machine, and on the software I get a "lookatline" error. Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this problem? This problem has just started happening, we have been sending and receiving programs on this mahine for years.

The error does sounds strange since everything was working before. Do you get the error immediately upon sending the file in or does it load the file and give you the tape # and then error? Check cabling and also try different programs; one created on the control and saved back and loaded; vs loading from offline to the machine.

I can do a CMT contents search and the progam numbers will be found, so I am getting a connection. But when I try to load the program, it will start loading for a little bit, (the software shows it sending data), but then I'll get the lookatline error, then the machine times out and I get the CMT-misconnect error. I have tried different programs, ones that have been saved back from the machine and I get the same results. It is weird that I can save a program back from the machine without an error, but I can't send.

| Can you tell us what the operating system of the laptop is and the physical connection on the laptop to the serial cable (IE: USB to serial (brand), PCMCIA, built-in). Also, try changing the baud to a lower setting on the machine and PC to send into the control. Could it be a buffer issue? Maybe also define the parameters you have set on the control, as these can really mess you up if they are not correct. I know, nothing changed but some thing has obviously been modified.

The operating system is XP, and the connection is RS-232, 9 pin (computer) to 25 pin (machine). The good news is I took your advice and slowed the baud rate down to 9600 and I was able to load a program. I hope I haven't jinxed it now, (by saying it's working). Thanks.
