yeh do it all the time. there are 2 ways the first is very long way were you write the program in iso in manual and write every line, dont forget to lock the chuck. if you are doing 1000's of parts programing takes longer but you save in cycle time. also there are no graphics check. my quick and favorite way is trick the machine thinking you are using a live tooling such as a drill and swap it over for a broaching tool. you have to take small increments and treat it like a shaping machine. i do all my gear cutting this way hope this helps |
