| Hi guys I am new to this group. I have a Boxford 125cl cnc training lathe that i rescued just before it was heading for the skip.It is in perfect working order apart from the control.It used to run from a BBC b computer which I dont have.there is a ribbon cable coming from the lathe and i would like to run it from a PC so that i can see the position of the X and Z travel. can anyone help thankyou Brian Reid Dundee Scotland 01382 889990

| Welcome Brian, There are many experts in all aspects of equipment and electronics that use this forum. I cannot answer your question but I pretty sure someone can, even if they are not familiar with this equipment. If you could supply pictures of the stepper/servo motors and their connections, it would help them identify the type motors it has, from there they could make suggestions. Hager Hay |

| Hi. I also have a Boxford, a TCL 160 in mint condition, it used to run on an apricot which has died.The basic software package is old hat anyway so I would like to run it from something that will work in XP. It was originally driven via the printer port on the Apricot. Does anyone know how to connect this to a PC and what software will run it. As a matter of interest I had a couple of Denford Orac's with dead controls which I now run with the "Eazi Cnc" hardware and software, it works ok but it seems a shame to scrap the existing fairly modern hardware in the boxford.
