    Meldas 3 obsolete?

    Greetings,
I am considering purchasing a 1993 Dyna Myte DM4500 with a Mitsubishi Meldas 3 control. I contacted DynaMechtronics and was told that Mitsubishi no longer supports or makes parts for this control. Is this accurate? Were are parts available for this control and how hard are they to keep running?
    Thanks

I have got support in Canada for older Mitsubishi systems than that, I would give MEAU a call in Chicago and check that first.
The M3 was used on alot of Mazaks, so there must be heck of alot still around.
If you can't get the number from the MEAU web site, I can email it to you.

    Thanks Al,
I contacted MEAU and they said the M3 is still being supported and that Mitsubishi has never "dropped" support on any control. Probably someone at DYNA hoping to get an upgrade sale.

Dyna and Mits do not have good relations. Going through Dyna for Mitsubishi parts is impossible. However, Mitsubishi will deal directly with customers. You can also contact Mitsubishi's Los Angeles office and speak with Kevin Sellers at 714-220-4796 for further info as he is familiar with the Dyna machines. Dyna can supply items relating to tool change, ball screws, way covers, etc. Mits will support electrical parts for all motion control.

    Hello,

It appears my DC power supply has died and it is only receiving 20 VAC from the Turret Interface board. The Interface board is getting 110 from that it requires so I am assuming the Turret Interface board is bad as well. Do you know where I can get a price on these?

    7102-00098 Turret Interface board
    7102-00089 DC Power supply

    Thanks

    What model machine?
    What model controller?
Is this Mazak or Mitsubishi part #'s?

For options and accessories etc, often the OEM either uses 3rd party hardware and uses in-house numbers or will sometime custom make interfaces etc.
You may have to explore this more, as these numbers appear to be Dyna part #.
They may be marked with a make or manuf part #.

Those are Dyna parts available only through Dyna. Those are pieces Dyna designed for their own machines instead of purchasing from a 3rd party. They do offer repair services on them also.

    Mitsubishi Meldas NC

    Dear guys,

I have one Japanese grinding machine with Mitsubishi Meldas NC, which have a MC111 CPU-A module. Machine bring with a Mitsubish A6GPP programmer which used for communication with both PLC and NC.

Now I using A6GPP and AC30R4 (RS422) cable connect to A1N plc. It is ok. The A6GPP can also connect to MC111 CPU-A by its RS232C interface. Does anyone have experience in using A6GPP connect to NC?

I am looking forward any suggestions and discussions!

    Milo Lee
