| I am rather new to Mazatrol, however, I don't think it is possible to start within a sub. Mazak makes things even more difficult with EIA because the control doesn't evaluate program modals when restarting this type of program. |

| We are using a 640mt pro control on a 400-3 integrex. The real prob is that the tail stk., chuck, and tool barrier's don't work(at least not very well) with EIA programs. So as a solution we were going to try using our EIA prog. as a sub-program within a Mazatrol prog. This make the barriers work fine, but dosen't allow for a mid-prog. restart from the mazatrol prog. (i.e. we'd have to rerun the whole sub-prog.) |

Have the EIA program called as current Work # From the POSITION screen, hit the DSPLAY SELECTOR KEY, (#3 in the Operating Manual) far left key under the screen, until you see: WORK OFFSET MACRO VARIABLE EIA MONITOR hit button under EIA MONITOR cursor to point in EIA program you want to start at, hit the button under RESTART2 NONMODAL your EIA line will go black background, hit cycle start and you are good to go. I have used this procediure many times and it works fine on our 640MT-Pro. REMEMBER to drop RAPID DOWN until you know exactly what your machine will do. Good Luck Mr. Phelps |
