Hi everyone, We use camware to send programs to our mazak milling machines (vtc200c) and some people are sending us *.igs or *.dxf We saw that it was possible to import them into our CamWare3.5 but is it possible to generate a program automaticaly from those drawings (includings tapped holes ...) I know that CamWare is not the best program to use but our boss paid it and want to use it ... Please, Excuse my poor english. Regards Jean |

| i assume your vtc200c is a mazatrol 640 machine(?) at our shop it has been our experience that outputting eia/iso (gcode) using cam software (even as good as surfcam) and getting that program to machine right is never quite plug and play. i think it has to do with mazak parameters or different codes, but to make a cam created program work you have to have software that outputs in the mazak eia/iso format. theres some software called mazacam that will take cad files and output mazatrol (not gcode) programs! good luck. |
