Old M2 Control Panel Stuck on Page

What's up !
Need help with M2 control panel, Machine was sitting for awhile, Batteries on card test OK. We will verify the battery conditions. The screen will not change off of the possition page. Have an alarm NMI 22 Emergency stop, (The results to which the data in the main CPU system memory were added upon starting of the NC differ from wat have been registered.) We were playing with the Magazine positioner MPS510 Sequencer before it was shut down. may have messed up the parameters in here. Will this caues the M2 Control to freeze up ? I was told not. The Monitor has a FX709B Board , should the Led 1 Be lit up. It is not ??
Thanks

PL CHECK THE CRT CONTROL UNIT

DEAR FRIEND,

PL CHECK THE CRT CONTROL UNIT AND IT WILL BE HAVING THE FOLLOWING CARDS

FX32B
FX42A
FX52A
FX62B

There will be one led in the FX52 CARD AND IT WILL BE BLINKING IF THE DATA TRANSFER IS OK.

THIS CARD IN TURN IS CONNECTED TO FX27 IN THE NC RACK.

MAY BE YOU CAN DO MEMORY CLEAR OPERATION AND RELOAD THE PARAMETERS.

I DO NOT SEE ANY FX709 CARD AS SUCH IN A M2 CONTROL.

IF YOUR MPS510 UNIT AND YOUR DRIVE MV20/30 IS HAVING ANY PROBLEM YOU WILL ONLY GET EXTERNAL CONTROLLER MALFUNCTION ALARM

MAZAK EXPERTS MAY PL CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG.

Hi Chandru
If he has an FX709 then there is only one board in the op panel. This is the second generation of the M2 controls.

Tomsawyer
The LD1 light should turn on in a normal situation. What other LED's are on on the boards in the control?

MAY BE SIMILAR TO T3

Dear onthebumper,

Then the controller has to be similar to Cam T3.Am I right? As many of our Mazak machines with M2 controllers are having the mentioned cards inside the CRT

Then the Nc rack will be having FX727 and other cards.

Some times by cleaning all the cards and checking their mounting tightness may clear this problem.Or by looking at the other LED status of the boards inside the Nc rack only we can come to some conclusion.

MAY BE FX702

May be FX702 if at all inside the Nc rack is the culprit as in one of our Mazak when the screen was shacking and getting frequently hanged we got it repaired and solved the problem.
