Mazak Quick Turn Nexus 200 lathe with Mazatrol 640 T-Nexus control

We have Mazak Quick Turn Nexus 200 lathes with Mazatrol 640 T-Nexus control. Instead of using TOOL DATA page, I am trying to use TOOL OFFSET page for all the geometric offsets and wear compensation. But when I zero every value in TOOL DATA page and run my program in TOOL OFFSET page, machine reads geometric offsets only. If I input any value in wear compensation, there is no change in sizes on the part.

Parameter issue, can depend on if you are using Mazatrol or EIA

But I can't even find a parameter that controls or activates tool wear offset in Tool Offset page. There is one to show and hide Tool wear offset column. but that doesn't help either.
    Thanks.

are you using mazatrol or EIA? Do you have a parameter manual available for your reference?

I am using EIA program. but for tool details we use TOOL DATA page. I want to use TOOL OFFSET page so as to streamline all the machines.
I have a parameter manual but for newer Mazak controls not for this particular control.

    USE Mazatrol

It's quick and flawless. Oh, very flexable.

G52, G53, G53.5 are all related to cancelling and engaging the mazatrol coordinate system. (approximately, cant remember all the exact words)

havent used it in some time, but i recall first you got to cancel mazatrol coords and then call eia coords.

its a little weird to get running, but some simple program experiments will get you going.

also, its possible to keep the mazatrol coords, and "connect" the EIA intended tool offsets to MAZATROL tool data. Its the windows in TD in the lower right corner. then theres associated parameters to switch whether it would work or not.

See attachment for parameter settings to use tool offset data.
