Need Help!- Mazak VTC-300C Alarm 202

202 - Air pressure down on sensor of the traveler column.

During operation this alarm occurs and causes the machine to stall mid process. How do we fix this? So far none of the Mazak mechanics have been able to solve this problem. Please help!

I have no previous experience with this machine of issue. That said it does get me thinking.

for the error to register ther must be a condition being acted upon;
can you fit a presure guage to the sensor at the column?
if good then is sensor output correct.
then is condition being reflected correctly at the i/o ( i am assuming ttl at the i/o ) (there is also a continuity check and voltage drop to be done on this cable)
then last of all is it poss to by-pass all of that and check the programme with a known input ( again assuming ttl so below 2.2 volts or above 2.7 volts) to replicate the fail state and if lucky a pass state.

As I said no previous experience here at all. just thinking aloud.
