Hi everyone,
My VQC occasionally stops with spindle lube alarm, switching m/c off clears alarm. Ive checked the filter in the lube tank under the chiller unit and it was as new - no cleaning required. Return filter at spindle is spotless, oil is near new and of correct type, chiller fins are clean and fan operates as normal.
I disconnected the wire on the oil pressure sensor on the spindle and m/c starts normally and then after time, alarm comes on again, which suggests - perhaps, fault is in chiller unit, any ideas would be appreciated - cheers
Most likely you have a switch that is activated either when the lubrification level is high enough or if the lubrification level is too low, depending of the logic used in the ladder. Check your lub oil level and if sufficient, check if your switch is working properly. If so, check if the 24Vdc connection to the I/O is okay (if the signal gets sent or not to the multi-wire connector). That should pretty much cover it all, it would be very practical if you knew what input signal is sent by the lub switch that would allow you to check it directly in your ladder for when you fix it.
Cheers.
