Mazak Lathe need advice

Hi All:

I could not find a place to post this question under machine specific threads. I hope this is the place to post.

I found a Mazak Lathe for sale under $1.5k.

I don't know anything about it as of yet but want to ask if it's worth pursuing.

This would be for my one man shop.

I have posted pix of it so any information/opinions would be helpful.

I am not considering this lathe as a potential resale.

Make sure it is in running condition, the T1 parts are getting scarce although Mitsubishi will repair.
Weak points after time are DC servo's and DC spindle motor, if they have not been maintained or cleaned and brushes changed on a regular maintenance schedule, it can get expensive.
Make sure you get the Mazak service manuals and a copy of the parameters, if running, Para's can be copied right away before putting into operation.
