27 Magnetic Position Detect Malfunction

We have a Mazak QT8 CNC Lathe with T32-2 controls. The machine is giving a #27 Magnetic Position Detect Malfunction at startup. The servo drive is a MR-S12-80B-E01 dual drive. The drive is giving a F1-16 and F2-56 code. I do not know what problems these codes represent.

It would appear that our problem is either with the Encoder on the X-axis motor or with the servo drive. Would anyone have an idea to the source of this problem.
