file manager usb dongle not dectected?

i have just upgraded the pc that transfers data to mazak 640 via com port
the usb dongle is installed and working according to device manager but when i try to access the file transfer a error comes up saying dongle not present. the software is acessed via a server which has the .pas files in the profile
i am stuck on what to try next any advice would be great

i also have the same problem on another pc but this one has a ltp1 dongle

Is the dongle for some dnc software or are you using something through Mazak CPC?

Regardless, .... being that you 'upgraded' your PC, I would say that you need to install the software key (like a password or license number) to activate and reconnect the dongle to the software. Windows just sees a piece of hardaware. Your software should have some type of installation process to activate the dongle to it....
