Networking Mazak Machines....

So, I am an IT consultant and have been given the task of adding a group of Mazak machines to a network. Any suggestions or tips that anyone would like to offer? Also, does anyone know if they are Gigabit compliant or wireless?

hi, if you are talking about matrix control they are plug and play.
they hve onboard network card you will find the rj45 connector in the electrical cabinet. make sure that the other end is connected in the control.

if you are talking about fusion control you have to order the pcmcia network card from mazak @ approx. $100.00 a card.
it is old technology and you wont find them anymore on the store shelves,trust me i worked for a mazak distributor 14 years.
if you buy any in the stores they won't work and once package is open they wont take it back.
i now that $100 is a lot but they are the only one that will work.
a few years ago i was buying these card @ $30. at bestbuy but now they are obsolet. save yourself many hours of frustration contact mazak parts.
