Just got a new (to us) Mazak v550b mill with a m32 controller. I have a few questions hopefully someone can answer. 1. Does anyone know what parameter(s) for the 4th axis control the error? At the moment when we rotate the axis 360 degrees, it actually moves approx 369.88. And it repeats. 2. When trying to load comments with an EIA/ISO (g-code) program the controller craps out and won't load the program. Is there a size limitation or something? 3. What is the proper way to jump to a certain block in an EIA/ISO program? 4. How can you change G84 tapping cycle to use IPM instead of IPR? 5. Is there some parameter setting for the 4th axis to use M10/M11 (unclamp/clamp) ? Thanks for any help you can give me.. I greatly appreciate it.

| i've used m32 control on a v550, but not in eia. Not sure about the 4th axis prob., but if its an indexer and not a full 4th axis you can try something like A360000 or (B360000) thats how our horizontal works. It should clamp and unclamp automatically. To skip blocks I use a GOTO100 command to skip to line N100. I tap in ipm multiply the rpm by the thread pitch..F19.444 for a 5/16-18 tap @ 350rpm. 1 divided by 18 is .0555 times 350. You need to be in G94 and not G95, describe your holder as floating if you are using tool data page. Hope this helps |

| Thanks dry run.. We figured out the 4th axis problem by going through the parameters one by one. Someone had 369 where 360 should have been.. Easy fix.. ![]() As for the GOTO100 command.. do you type in G O T O or is that just a button on the mazatrol program page? Thanks for the tapping info too.. I'll try that out.

| Does anyone know if itīs possible or not to run a program with G02 and G03 commands, in a Maztrol M32B from 1992 on a VTC 16, when Iīm executing the program froma a pc evrething goes fine till G02 or G03 appear, an alarm that says "tape error appears". Is possible to change some parameter to accept G02 and G03 codes? |

| Well, if the controller does EIA/ISO programs , then it should read G02/G03 just fine.. I take it your DNC'n straight from the PC? Can you just load the program into the machine and try it there?

| Thanks Tnik Iīll check it, and yes the control has EIA/ISO, but by any chance donīt you know if some parameter should be adjusted to execute G02 y G03, you know that you have to make some changes in userīs parameters in order to avoid the use of mazakīs dnc software |

| barsse, not that I know of. G02/03 worked fine out of the box. Here is what I found as far as parameter lists for using EIA/ISO as far as sending programs to the machine. CNC DNC Settings for Mazak M32
