MazaCAM & CamLink

Hi,

Does anyone out there use either MazaCAM or CamLink for offline programming?

I'm wondering if there are any independent reviews?
I don't know what the cost is but I'd expect it'll be up there, as most useful applications are, but is it worth it?
Do the benefits and convenience justify the cost?

We use camlink. We have used it for 15 years.It works gerat if you are programming your mazak in Mazatrol. You can import DXF files and use the Geo Entery part of the program. It doesn't work for programming EIA. It does have a basic Mazatrol to ISO conversion but that is all. We Program all our Mazaks in Mazatrol and Griffo. It also has the ability to program all versions m2,m32,mplus,fusion, and matrix. You also can convert the programs to any other version in needed. However I don't much about the Matrix control.

The dxf import would have to be one the more appealing features to me. Assuming that means goodbye to all those tedious shape descriptions.

Be nice to sit at the workstation and program too.

We use Delcam PowerMill for ISO programming, so that side of it's sorted.
