Hi guys, I'm having a problem with this MDS P.S. giving me an AUXILIARY REGENERATION FREQUENCY OVER alarm. Could someone please share some knowledge on this one? It's really giving me a headache!!!! Thanks in advance for any help. |

| The alarm is a lower case letter o, which in the book means what I stated previously but here is the alarm qouted " This indicates that the instantaneous regeneration energy is large, and regeneration was not possible only with the power supply regeneration. Due to this, regeneration at the auxiliary regeneration's performance limit occurred. When this warning occurs, the auxiliary regeneration will not function, so this could lead to an overvoltage alarm." Machine is powered on and after a few seconds or so it alarms out. What does this mean? Iam not understanding what the book is saying. Also, it says that the aluminum fins(heat sink) are really dirty, that could be the cause? |

| Sounds like it's displaying warning "E0" which could lead to an overvoltage alarm. Could be many causes: -PN voltage high -Grounding -Incoming RST voltages not balanced. Maybe try increasing the Spindle accel/decel time if it occurs during decel. If all else fails, replace the unit. Check that SP67, 68, and 69 are correct. |
