| You have a CAD system now that you use? Or looking for Mazatrol programming as well? Or have no CAD and need one all together? There are tons of systems out there. If you need to do something specific to Mazatrol conversational, you're limited to only a few. If you plan on using G code for the Mazaks... 100s of options out there.... and with CAD/CAM systems... this can be an endless debate....

We use Griffo brothers. We have been using Griffo for at least 15 yrs. It works great for Mazatrol and importing dxf files. If you want to work with solids and g code we use FeatureCam. As one of the other post suggests this subject could go on forever. |

| Mazatrol cad/cam: 3rd party = solutionware/mazacam and griffo bros. Mazak = Camware and Matrixcam Matrixcam has by far the least CAD/CAM functions in it. It is pretty much only a facsimile of what is on the machine only. Camware is built by Mazak UK and is pretty spiffy, but the support in the USA is spotty. I know solutionware some what and it's pretty robust. Can't speak about Griffo, but I think they are also quite good. These four products interface and are "dynamically linked" to mazatrol program creation. On the EIA side, any CAD/CAM out there that is "Fanuc Compatible G code" is possible. As stated in other posts above. -jim |
