I am used to running haas lathes , But a friend has a leadwell gtc 20 with he says is a Mitsubishi meldas3 or melda53 I can not read my own writing control on it. I am stumped it seems as if the work offset keeps moving on it. we tried to put into mdi the following. G20; G28 X0 Z0; T3 03; G90 G55; G00 X0 Z0; We ran this with G55 offset set at X0 Z0 and tool 3 came down to where the tool probe is. So we put a -2.75 in G55 Z offset and it came back down to 3.00 away from chuck about 2.75 past probe So far so good. Then we changed line 3 to T5 05 and tool five came down but stopped about 7 inches away from chuck. So we changed line 3 back and tool 3 stopped about 7 inches away same as T5 This time. Any ideas would be helpfull we are just looking for a way to set a Z face to work all tools off the same part zero. Jerry |
