Need Help!- Mazatrol PC Fusion 640M

I am planning to bid on an auction for the following MAZAK:
2001 MAZAK CNC VERTICAL MACHINING CENTER, MOD . VTC-200B, 20.08"X57.48", 25 ATC, W/MAZATROL PC-FUSION-CNC 640M CONTROLS, ETC. S/: 154214

who can please tell me what this control can do? Does 640 mean 640Megabytes in memory? what kind of interfase does this machine use? USB, PMCIA? RS232?

who knows of a good resource page where I can get brochures/manuals for Mazaks to see the specs for this machine?

Hi,

640M is the Mazatrol CNC control, with Mitsubishi 600 series H/w. It has HDD, Front IC Card (PCMCIA), normally standard. The HDD program running & Back Ethernet & IC Card PCMCIA interface is optional.
Rs232 is also available.
There is no USB port, but there is mouse/keyboard port interface for the card PC. The HMI interface screen is on PC card Windows.

You can get the 600 manuals from the Mitsubishi site MEAU.com
The 640 is not there, usually if it is solely Mazak system they do not have it on site.
Although some countries cannot access the MEAU site.

I run a mazak 640t nexus 250 msy. It has a kickass conversational control. I cant see you being disapointed with the conversational on the mill. Our shop has three other mazaks dating back to 86. All of there controls have very close to the same conversational it rocks on all of them.
