I am looking at a potential job and they are wanting me to run this machine. It has a 4 jaw manual chuck. I didnt get the year or exact model number off of it as I was only their for an interview. I do know it has the green lettering on the screen when running if this helps any. Is there anything I should be concerned with this machine? I have been spoiled running my Mori Seiki SL403 for the last few years, but this job is about to play out. I have run Mazak lathes in the past, but not for more than a day or two at a time. What differences should I be aware of on this machine? Is it a dependable machine in general (I know each machine is a little different depending on how it was treated in the past)? Thanks for any input or warnings. |
