Angry Fusion 610T Qt 350 dead batteries

Batteries died over the long Christmas weekend, I have replaced both. When firing up the screen I get what looks like dos starting to look for windows 95 and it freezes up and wants me to hit f1 or f10 to continue. Does anyone have any suggestions on where I go from here?

Dos

If you know Dos you can find an old keyboard, the one with the large round connector PS2 (not the game) and plug it into the back behind the screen. Press F1 and see what happens. You could have lost the hard drive or software.

I agree with hooking a key board to it. The keyboard type is the smaller round USB connector though. It will plug into a sideways connector behind the operation panel.

You will have to plug a keyboard into this and reset the BIOS. This involves setting the correct date and time, as well as the startup diskand such. I weouldn't be surprised if your machine has now lost its parameters. I recently had this problem with a QT250 with a Fusion 640PC control.

More then likely the Bios and the files on the hard disk are fine. If you are sure that the battery went dead over the shut down then all you lost was data in the NC (parameters, tool data, etc). This data is now corrupt and as a result it does not allow the PC part of the control boot up. On the back of the control there is a rotary switch next to a seven segment display. To clear the SRAM from the control set it to a 7 and power on for about 30 seconds. Power down with the main breaker set the switch back to a 0 and turn the machine back on. At this point you should get a screen. Hopefully you have a backup of parameters on the hard drive, most machines do.
You can also call Mitsubishi and they should be able to walk you through this process. 847-478-2500
