Help request: Mazak sub-programs in EIA/ISO

Hello to everybody, I'm Roberto from Italy. I'm a beginner user of a Mazak Nexus 510 milling machine. I'm trying to develop a warm-up part program and i would like to use a few subprograms. I cannot find the "programmers manual" of my machine and i cannot understand how to write both main and sub programs and how to use G code to call a sub program more than once.
Please can you send me a few example or give me some suggestions?
thanx!

Hey Roberto, I'm AJ. There is a few different ways to call up subprograms on a mazak. If you are doing it from a mazatrol program you have to start your program out like normal in the first line...material, initial z, etc...after that your soft keys have a subprogram callout under the "other" soft key. you can call out your subprograms from there whether they are eia or mazatrol subs. make sure you have an m99 at the end of the sub if it is eia, or a continue on your last line of the end statement for mazatrol sub.

you can also use eia on a mazak right from scratch....when you start the program you can choose eia or mazatrol. if you pick eia, you have to use a main eia program to call out all your subs(just like fanuc gcode).

hope this helps out. mazatrol is easy once you get used to it. lemme know if you got any more questions. just play around with it and you will figure it out

Thanx AJ for your answer. My first problem is I didn't find the programmer's manual in the shopfloor. For this reason Mazatrol is too hard for me at this moment and I prefer EIA ISO programming.
I started writing a main part program calling tool and setting spindle speed and feed. I put a M98 P1234 L5 code where 1234 is the link to the sub program (I called it O1234.EIA) and L the number of calls.... but it doesn't work....

Can you send me a template of both the main and the sub part program?

Thanx in advance
Roberto

As long as your sub (1234.eia) has M99 at the end of it you can call it repeatedly in your main program, eg:

M98P1234
M98P1234
M98P1234
M98P1234
M30

Note: your sub will have as it's first block: O1234
But the sub program itself will be called 1234.eia (Drop the "O")

I've never used "L" to call repeats so, unfamiliar with that.

Hope that helps.
