Im trying to figure out how to program 6 holes on 60 degrees in a single program like using a repeat command I can do it in g-code in a few lines there has to be a way to do it in mazatrol without using 6 sub programs Pat |

| You don't need to subprogram anything for this. In Mazatrol, after you set up the machining unit and tool sequence, you enter in the SHAPE. That should prompt you with about 6 or 7 different types of hole patterns you can program.....

| Psychomill nails it. A mazatrol point machining unit can handle a lot of different HOLE PATTERNS. The POINT pattern is one X-Y coordinate at a time. LINE can program a line in any direction and any length, by line length/total number of holes, or number of holes/pitch between holes. There's also rectangle, grid, arc, circle and chord pattern definition available. Filling in the "answers" can be a little confusing. You first enter the value, then there's a "switch" to define whether the number means pitch or total line length, or number of holes. -jim |

| I apparently I mis-wrote my question and forgot a important detail Im running a mill with a horizontal chuck in which we do radial work such as a 6' long cylinder 12" diameter with 6 drill and tapped holes 1" from the face a simple g-code program would read G81 X-1.0Y0.Z-.5A0.F2.0 A60. A120. A180. A240. A300. G80 How would you do this in mazatrol. they are using subprograms for each rotation its gotta be easier than that Patrick |
