Matrix tool too long alarm 1109?????

This is on a Mazak SQT250MY
When touching off a tool in the vertical live milling station the machine is giving me a 1109 alarm. The machine will touch it off shorter be that will not work. When the tool is where it needs to be I still have plenty of clearance when homed out in x and rotating the turret.
Does anyone know the setting to change to fix this?

Tool length setting range check function

SU110 to SU113 define a maximum tool size.

SU154.1 = 1 means your tool set values have to fit inside the "box" as defined by SU110-113.

SU154.1 = 0 turns off this check.

So, if you change SU154.1 to 0 this checking function is turned off and you should be able to set tools freely.

Hopefully you can check this in your parameter book, but this s/w enhancement may still be too new to put in the books that come with the machine.

PS - this is only on MATRIX controls. Matrix is the most profound OVERHAUL of mazatrol controls in the history of MAZAK. M/T 32, M/T + and M/T Fusion have a lot of commonality between them. MATRIX merged the 3 or 4 divergent mazatrol platforms, M, T, MT, and MT-e type, into one platform. Matrix corrected the divergent evolutionary paths of the four basic machine types MAZAK developed over the years and made the programming and parameters more common, regardless of which type of machine the control is attached to.
