IS ANYONE FAMILIAR WITH CALIBRATING A RENISHAW PROBE IN THE X-Y AXES? MY PROBE IS DEVIATING .04-.05 IN X AND Y AXES. THE MANUAL THAT CAME WITH THE PROBE DOESN'T SHOW HOW. I HAVE EIA ISO PROGRAMS TO DO IT BUT SOMETHING IS NOT RIGHT, IT DOES NOTHING.

What manual do you have? It is Renishaw Inspection Plus right? These manuals usually illustrate this pretty well. Also, what machine and control?THE MANUAL THAT CAME WITH THE PROBE DOESN'T SHOW HOW.
But basically, you need to indicate in the stylus first to take out any runout. Then generally you'll sweep in a gage ring on the machine to calibrate to or use a calibration sphere.
It's just a part..... cutter still goes round and round....
