| lets say you have an M8x1.5 thread. Take the 1.5 and divide by 25.4 which equals 0.05906. This is your lead. Mazatrol will figure out thread height and I would start the thread in "X" axis at or a bit above your turned diameter. |

| that is what i thought because that is how to figure english (non metric) threads but the book examples show to just input number of threads (like 1.5) but it didnt look right but i was also told i had to change parameters as well just go to show you everybody has the answers just some arent right thanks fo the help |
