    mazak quickturn 20 hp 1996

    Hi.

    Im looking a buying a used mazak 20hp quickturn, 1996.
    just wondered have any of you had any experience with them.

    good and bad points please?

    Mazaks come into their own for batches of 10 to 500 parts (jobbing).
    They can do production obviously, but you pay a lot more money over a korean machine and the reason why is the 'mazatrol' programming is so darn easy and quick to use.
    Whoever wrote the code for mazatrol language really understood short batch machining.
    You can setup a chucking job super quick.

    i have a mazak qsh10 twin turret cnc lathe but i dont use the mazatrol as it seems to add more time to cycle times.
    maybe as this mazak im purchasing is a later model it may be better.
    i will certainly give it a go.
