Need Help!- Mazatrol M-32 I/O communication problems

I have a M-32 controller on a Mazak V-515 that I am unable to upload any program to, from a PC. I have looked through other similar post and tried the different suggestions without any luck. I have tried 3 different cables including the one that came with them machine and the other2 that I know work from different machines. This machine is new to me and I learning the M-32 controller so I don't know if it a procedure error, problem with the cable or myself... I would appreciate and help.

The machine had sat for a while and lost all the parameters which I had to reenter manually. Here is what I have the following parameters set to which I believe to have an effect on the I/O:

G19 2
G20 3
G22 0
G23 3
G24 1
G25 0
G26 0
G27 0
G28 0
G29 3

what software are you using
all mazak needs is a baud rate of 4800
