Default how to change tool offset memory type on meldas 500?

    Hi,

I read in my instruction manual that two "tool offset memory types" exist but i didn't find how to change from one type to the other. Right now we are in type "1" and we would like to change it to type "2" (the one with separate offsets for length and radius that permits using "G43 H1" and "G41 D1").

    any help on this?

    thank you

Default I've got a 3 axis cnc machine with MELDAS 520A control

    Hello
I've got a 3 axis cnc machine with MELDAS 520A control by kafo machinary.
Two month ago all parameters of my cnc machine get lost and I had to reset
all parameters, but there is some problem and I'll be glad to get help from
    you.
    The problem is:
1- when I change the mode to ZP-Return and then press the Cycle Start button it doesn't start going to the machine zero point and I have to do that
    manualy one by one.
2- When I type (G28 X0) in MDI mode and then press the Cycle Start button,
the X axis goes wrong (+ direction) but I specify (- dirction) in ZP-Return parameter. The Y& Z axis are right.
3- The tool changer doesn't work
    4- Warning light doesn't work

To tell you that, there was no problem before losting parameter and machine
    worked OK.
I'll be thank you to help me and hope getting a solution from you

    Default M500

    1) For nikomold:

Believe you cleared memory by 1 & 3 no. dip switches in CPU card. So the Option & System parameters are also lost. Can you edit programs?
If so it may be due to L & R parameters. May be you need to read these from running machine & load in this machine.

P.S. : L0 - L256, R1900 - R2799 are battery backed & used in PLC. But they dont get downloaded when you take backup.

Changing the tool offset type on the M500 control is an option. It needs to be turned on by Mitsubishi.
