I'm sorry that I can't help you, I'm not familiar with Mits at all, but I'm sure you'll get more help if you identify the model of the control.
Hey I'm new on here stumbled across the forum looking for info which I can't find. I am looking at a vmc machining centre which is 1998 which has a Mitsubishi control which neither I am or the seller is familiar with as I was used to fanuc and haas which is also similar to fanuc. My questions are does the Mitsubishi control have a conversational/promt function which allows you to select the operation you want and will generate a programme like pockets bolt patterns and tapping. Also what type of code do they use as in g and m codes?
All help appreciated. Thanks 👍👍

Hi I'm not 100% sure but I think it's an m50 control going by others advertised around the same age. It doesn't say on the machine nor does the seller know as he's not familiar with them.
The Mitsubishi does not have conversational programming per-se. Only the ones used by Mazak that have been customized by them.
The G and M codes are fairly close to Fanuc, but there are some M codes that may have been customized by the OEM.
Who is the manufacturer of the machine?
The M50 is not a bad little controller.

As AL said, it's on the builder side. Mori Seiki also has conversational over a mits control. Cheaper builders will not.
