We run a 2006 MAZAK 510C. It has a Mazatrol 640M Nexus controller. My question is there any way to load a program directly into the hard drive, without using a card adapter? This machine was bought brand new and it doesn't have the port needed to plug in a card reader. And if you can load a program directly in the hard drive, How do you get it to read from that directory? Would greatly appreciate any ideas.
Hi Big_Aric... You can load programs from PC to HDD unit through RS232 or CF/PCMICIA card, or by connecting the HDD to your PC via USB or ethernet option. CF/PCMCIA is an optional feature, please check if there is a front card slot facility or card slot on the NC unit. Ethernet is also an optional feature and the option needs to be activated through Mazak. Running the program directly from HDD unit is also possible, which is again an optional feature which needs to be enabled.
You may check whether these options are enabled in the Diagnosis ==> option page
