Hello everyone,
This lathe is fairly new to me, and is running on a 10 hp American Rotary phase converter that came with it when I bought it. It was running ok before this problem. Now when I try to home the X axis, I get alarm 13, servo drive. The drive is a TRS 50 B. There is a LED bar on the lower left (of the drive) that has bottom (number 4) lit, along with the top round (number 1) lit.
I downloaded the drive maintenance manual, and it says TGOV motor overspeed. I don't know what that means. The axis barely moves when it alarms out.
I read a post of a similar problem on another board, and following that advice I reseated the encoder cable at the motor a well as at the drive.
I also removed the cover plate on the encoder and there was some white corrosion I blew out. The wires were too short to get the circuit board out very far, so after blowing it out, I reassembled it. I was not able to see an encoder wheel, so maybe this is a resolver? I have no clue.
I still have the problem.
Also the ball screw is easy to turn by hand. I originally thought this might be an over travel condition, but the alarms say not.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
