Default Mazak VCN 510-C motor encoder question

We are facing an issue with the spindle motor (Mitsubishi).
We changed the bearings as we got an alarm
    for spindle malfunction,
and as a result there is an error on the encoder.
When we try to rotate the spindle (even by hand)
we get immediately an alarm and emergency stop.

What I am looking for is some information on the encoder
    of a sj-4-vks15-13zt motor.
All I can read is CM16AC. The rest are sealed.
Do they sell these separately or together with the whole motor?
Do I have to contact Mitsubishi or Mazak for this?
    Any idea/suggestion?

    Thanks a lot in advance

Not sure on that motor, but if it is the PG type, you have to align the quadrature pulses on the older type, done using a double beam 'scope.
You can tell the PG type by the toothed gear type wheel.

Thanks for the effort and the answers.
Still no news on the problem, or the risk is too high to install a new encoder
without being 100% sure that it's the correct one.

Mantenim, I cannot open the link for some reason

i atached a procedure for adjust PLG for serie DH.
please check your spindle drive is MDS-DH, or MDS-CH, or MDS-C1. if your spindle drive is DH, this is the procedure.

    Mantenim, thank you sooooo much!!!!

We came tried repositioning the sensor and it worked. For a while.
The signal was within the limits of the diagram described on the pdf you provided.
We also run the motor on open loop (ie. without using the encoder)
and it worked fine. No strange sounds, no nothing.
We came to the conclusion that it is due to the circuit board that comes with the encoder.
We will try to find another to replace it.
The distributor here suggests that the only solution is to replace the complete motor/encoder system
which is out of question, since the motor is fine.

Thank you very much for the help provided here.

I will keep you informed about the results.

    Be well
