Need Help!- Cimco DNC - Break Count Exceeded

We are working with Cimco DNC Max on our Haas milling machine. Periodically on some longer programs we will get a Break Count Exceeded error. This has always occurred during unattended operation so we've been unable identify the problem. We have run the same program with and without error so I don't believe it's a post issue.

Has anyone ever seen this error before, and have any idea what causes it.

How long is the cable between the PC and the CNC machine ?

Does the cable pass near any fluorescent lights or other electrical devices that could cause a disruption in the data ?

What transfer speed is being used ?

Is there any other software running on the computer that might be causing a delay in data transmission ?

I'm no expert in communications but hopefully these questions can lead you to consider some common hazards associated with DNC programs...
