Hi,
does mastercam have a function to tell you how long it will take to run a machining sequence?

From the operations manager, click backplot, run, and at the bottom left it will give you a run time.

in version X4 you can also get a time by creating a set up sheet from the operations manager as well.

Gotta tell ya, as far as accuracy is concerned, the backplot run time for milling is pretty good.
And it is fairly accurate for a simple drill cycle.
However, for operations like peck drilling, tapping, boring and other canned cycles that do multiple retracts, reversing the spindle, or feeding out, the machining time estimate really sucks!
My opinion is based on almost 20 years experience with MasterCam.
