    Can't select geometry?

I have a good drawing and can see everything in wireframe and solid mode. I can't pick anything though. What button or setting to I have to change?

What's version? and what is the OS are you installed it in. I had try Older version to Vista and 7 it now work very well. If that is the case find older computer is the solution otherwise update your CAM

    Contour Selection

The version is 8.0, but that's not the problem. It's a 3D part and I've been able to do anything with a lot of other parts that I wanted to. The part is there I just can't select anything. I'm thinking I might need to "explode" the part like in ACAD, but don't know where to do that at.

If you want to "explode" .... it's under Modify. Oh, BTW what level CAM do you have? I think that might be the problem.

In your levels dialog, does the mask column have any ticks ?
( this lets you select only items on that level )

    or

Do you have any masking set before selecting items on the screen ?

It sounds to me like you have just a surface model with no "wireframe" entities...

Select "Screen, Statistics" and post the entities reported by that function here.

Agree! make sure what kind of entity into the file, then can sure which selection is better.

FYI, the version 8.0 of the mastercam almost a lot of function need to select the entity first.
