So we had a customer give us a pdf of this jacked up part. It's skewed in the file and we are scratching our heads on how to get a measurement for part of it (wtg! they provided all horizontal measurements, no vertical... ). It's a 3D model inside a PDF. Is there are way to get this into MasterCam? Right now we can't align it at "zero" to get straight measurements while it's in the PDF. We're hoping for some advanced tools...We're trying not to "interpret" their drawing incorrectly. Thanks for any help! |

| ask ur customer to save it in another file format thats supported by mastercam, .iges, .x_T, etc. im pretty sure a pdf file is not going to be scalable and will be useless but i could be wrong, ive gotten them before and had a dxf converter and it half worked 1/4 of the time! |

| You client should supply an actual model file for you to import into mastercam As brandou10l suggests, surfaces and solids are best supported by certian formats, and lines/ arcs points splines are handled better with a different format for Solids and Surfaces ( in order of model import accuracy and ease ) CatiaV4/V5 .STEP/.STP .X_T .STL .IGES/.IGS (worst) |
