Hi, i'm trying to setup a job to to radius ends of tubes in the 4th axis in one of out Okuma MX45-VAE machining centres. Control is OSP-E100M and I'm using Mastercam X3.
What's difficult is that the tubes have a profile machined on the end of them, see the drawings i've attached. How do I setup and generate usable code using mastercam with rotating the 4th axis to apply the radius around the end of the tube?
How I'm planning to do the job is to run across the whole profile with a 3/8" long series slot drill (less than R5 required), then apply the radius while rotating the a-axis.
We want to do it in the machine as they are 6061 aluminium tubes that aren't allowed to be dented or scratched etc, the profile takes 10-seconds to machine but then the operator spends 2 minutes applying the radius by hand with a file.
I'll attach a sample of the tube profile, and some of the code I've been using to run across the profile.
Thanks,
Nigel.

PM me and i will tell U how i would do this
I cant post the fil a made because it is to big
R...........
Completely forgot about this post, what I ended up doing was following the contour around with a 0.5mm reflex cutter at a constant Y position while rotating the A and moving in X.
Alot faster than the way you described to me R&RMachine
1st tool cuts the profile
2nd tool forms the rad
