Trying to figure out if FBM Drill is worth my time to set up. My usual style is to read Mastercam's next to worthless help while I'm trying to learn a new feature in Mastercam.
From Mastercam's help on using the spot drilling page in FBM Drill:
"MAX. PERCENTAGE OF FINISHED HOLE:
Uses the value you enter to set the Maximum Diameter of the Spot Drill Result to a percentage of the finished hole Diameter.
Based on hole characteristics and Spot Drill tool selection, the Max. Depth may override the defined Maximum Percentage.
MAX. DEPTH:
Enter the Maximum Depth of the Spot Drill Operation.
Based on hole characteristics and Spot Drill tool selection, the Max. Percentage Of Finished holes may override the defined Maximum Depth."
Say what?
Can someone translate the above taken from Mastercam's help and put it into plain English for me and tell me how this works in the real world. The above seem to be contradicting statements that make my head spin. |
