    using stl for verify

    i have a solid model of the a part before it's got any features cut and i am trying to convert it to an stl file and use it for verify.
    i am opening the model as trimmed surfaces in mcam x4. then save it as an stl.

    but when i try to open the stl in verify using the from file option it tells me that the stl file has self-intersecting polygons and cannot be repaired.

    i've attached both the solid model and the stl i created from it, which, of coarse, looks just fine if i just open it in mcam.

    any idea what i'm doing wrong?

    thanks

    Got "Warning--- LW has found STL not watertight..." for verify
    Try using the solid that is in the mastercam session in verify

    I was able to use the STL as stock model in the op manager--- that's OK

    The SLDPRT didn't come into X2 at all --- may be my set-up
