I am having trouble milling a hex on a part using cross contouring.I can do it fine using a face contour but i want to come from the side of the part so i dont have to have a long tool overhang.I am using X4 Lathe.Can anyone help?Thanks in Advance.    |

| face one flat and transform rotate that tool path using the right C/T plane to rotate around. i always let the transform op create new geometry and operations but i maintain the work offset # so i get all g54's or g55's whichever one i am using

| I am still new to mastercam X4. I am not sure of how to do what you describe.Could i maybe create a zip2go file for you to look at and maybe help with it?thanks. |

| If your using the C-Axis toolbar, just pick the C-Axis Cross Contour and pick your chain. That should do it. Mike Mattera
