Hello, I was wondering if I could TURN OFF the whatever makes mastercam keep previous toolpath parameters for the following toolpaths. This is especially irritating when having used "control" as compensation type. Mastercam will use this for the next toolpaths automatically. This is pretty anoying especially when it ruines the part! Any help appreciated |

| You can pre-set your operations to your most common settings by editing the default operations Access is through operations manager ---> Files ( under the machine )---> defaults ops This opens another window with all operations that are available to you and you set every field to what you want IE. coolant on, ramp angle or ramp depth, chamfer settings, the list is big. You can have a defaults file for different machines, one machine may be able to take heavy cuts, another not so stong. Does this help ??? |

| Thanks but no! All operation defaults are set how I like it. But as soon as I make 1 toolpath with any parameters set, mastercam will use these automatically for the next set of "same" type of toolpaths. Just the compensation bothers me. The rest is not a big deal because it can be seen in backplot or verify. While compensation isn't. Thanks |

| If Mastercam changes it to keep your last input parameters... people will complain. If Mastercam changes it to use your dafault parameters... people will complain. You cant make everyone happy. Most people want to keep the last thing that put in. Besides, you should be doing Wear Compensation. Calcs the toolpath CL and still outputs the G41/G42 for cutter wear adjustment at the machine.
