rotary 4 ax depth of cut q.

How do you adjust the depth of cut in a rot 4ax tool path? My stock is larger than my part by 1 inch to allow for the part size, and the tool path keeps plunging to the part surface to begin cutting. I've adjusted the absolute cut depths setting min and max, tried incremental, doesn't seem to get me what I want. I'd like it to start at z2 and cut 0.1 depths down to the surface.

I seen a 4th axis training tutorial but no explaination of how to adjust the cut depths.

Wow I thought this would be an easy one to answer, no answer at the Mastercam forum either.

Sorry but there is not a way to do this at this time.
Usally What I do if needed is create one then leave stock then copy and lesen the stock left.

I have not checked this in MC "X" yet but I am now.

Oh.....I just ASSumed there was some sort of way to creep down to the part surface.

Thanks a lot for the reply, I was pretty much driving myself nuts trying to get the software to do this.

Your method will work sounds like though.
