Tombstone

Hello,

Is it possible for someone to explain to me on how one would program a tombstone on a horizontal 4 axis machine... to program a tombstone does one need a 4 axis horizontal or can it be done on a 3 axis machine as well?

well tombstones can be on a horz and of course a vertical used with a sample of a Chick system for a 4th on Virt.

Do you understand how do use Planes on how they work?
What version of MC are you using?

Are your tutorials and training better than the ones offered by InHouse? Just curious because they offer a Tombstone and rotary training book for $35. Thats quite a price difference over $175. I bought their book and it has very good information and is more than enough to get you started programming tomb stones and rotary. Plus it comes with a cd which contains a home/school version of X4.

I considered purchasing one of your video's in the past but was on a budget at the time. This seemed like a cost effective solution.

My first direction I would offer someone learning the WCS in Mastercam is Mastercam's tutorial. It takes a little bit of playing around, but it's free.

It's for V9, but it's pretty much the same for X products.

After figuring out how the WCS works, it's just a matter of applying it to your vertical with an indexer or your tombstone on a horiztonal.

The problem I've always had with books that they only tell you what to do, but not "why" your doing it. We make an effort to explain the reasons behind things and also what not to do (avoiding common mistakes). Books don't do that.

Some people like books better. Certainly your budget will dictate which direction you can go. But I've never had anyone who was disappointed with my CD's. I see the big advantage being... If you need a quick review of a process, you can watch a 10 minute video and be back on track with your work. Another advantage of CD's over streaming subscription video services is, you always have it available. Subscriptions expire. Usually when you need the most. Some people have told me that everytime they watch my cd's, they learn something new. Something they didn't see/hear/realize before.

If you do a search on this forum, You'll find others who have used my products and will offer their opinions about my CD. But I'd be glad to answer any questions you might have.
