Need Help!- heian fp 151 5 axis router

looking for sotware for a 5 axis router ,what i plan on doing with it is making art. the plan is for me to create the orinal art then taking the polhemus lazer scanner and scanning it to mastercam .to tool path it . would mastercam be a good sftware for this. has anyone else tried this.any info would be greatly appreciated thanks dayton

Can you give an example of what you want to use ?
and the end result ?

polhemus laser scanner outputs the image as what ?
2D picture or 3D model and what format ? I'm guessing as STL mesh

Ideally you want to get a 3D model as depth perspective is needed.
if a 2D picture, you would have to vectorize the picture to get the lines, arcs etc and then you would have to decide what is raised or sunk on the image

You would be doing a lot of surfacing work and the files will not be tiny. But stick to it, it looks interesting.
