Mastercam 9 Lathe setep ??

I am using MasterCam 9 with EMC2 on a homebuilt Shoptask ElDorado Mill/Lathe.

Mill works great for me, but I cant seem to find the setup parameters to let MC know that I have a bottom, or front tool holder. I change it in job setup and it shows it cutting the correct toolpaths however it still shows the tool coming in from the top right as a top turret. I have not tried to run it this way yet as I would rather get it to backplot exactly as the machine will move.

Any ideas on where to chang the tool home location on MC9 ?

Turrets are the positions for tool placement
Front = Bottom
Back = Top

Sometimes the tool number designates which turret the tool position, I don't think this applies to you

Yes, I have tried changing that setting in job setup. But when I backplot it shows the tool from the top regardless.

How does it post ?
Should your turning geometry not be at the bottom of the screen for "Front Turret" machining ?

Do you use "Upper Left" or "Lower Left" turning plane ?

I have not bothered to post yet, want to be able to run verify first.

I have tried all settings, front, rear, right, left in job setup and it alway shows tool entering from upper right on backplot.

Is the somewhere else you set "turning plane?" Have not found that term.
