I have projected letters on a surface ( sphere) and toolpath them using surface finish project.

But to me it looks like the z depth is not as deep as I think it should be.

Any suggestions on what could be happenning ?

What depth are you getting? What do you want it to be? Are you just guessing at what you think the depth is? Have you checked to see if you have a "Stock to leave" value in the parameters?
