Problem with mastercam lathe/Mach3 setup

I have just converted my lathe to CNC. I use MACH3 to control it and Mastercam Lathe to output GCODE. I have been using MACH3 and Mastercam for my mill but I am having an odd problem with Lathe. I can create a file and simulate it but the simulation shows the tool on the far side of the piece being machined. I thought it was only a view issue but when I run the code the carriage goes left to right rather than right to left. I assumed that since I stand in front of my lathe and that the spindle was on the left that I should use left stock and left chuck in Mastercam setup. Is that incorrect? Also does anyone have a mastercam lathe/mach3 post?
