http://www.swiftnets.com/assets/imag...BASE-PLATE.gif I would like to try cutting something like that in mastercam. The facing, bolt pattern, etc. is pretty obvious, but how to have mastercam understand the diamond cut isn't so simple to me. What's the best way to have mastercam cut along a bunch of parallel, equidistant lines, up and down so both sides get climbed? |

| To machine each diamond separately would not be really efficient, IMO- I would extend the geometry on the pins laying on the diagonals and extend these past the outer boundary of the "pin area" Rough & finish outer shape of pin area For roughing to half way- a pass down the gap centre For finishing to half way - 2D contour these new curves Repeat to get full depth |
